GRANADA.

Handcrafted in southern Spain in the rolling Andalusian hills, the Granada Ceramics collection represents artisan traditions that spans generations and centuries.

The style,‘Fajalauza’, is a highly distinguishable array of patterns that includes birds, flowers and ‘granadas’ (Spanish for pomegranate). Fajalauza was established in the 16th century and blended the eclectic styles of both Christian and Arab working methods.

Once a buoyant business that dominated Andalusia, the successive economic and construction crises of recent years has diminished more than 90% of the artisan ceramics industry in the area. Granada Ceramics strives not only to support but to revive the important survival of this craftsmanship.

How do you know it’s genuine handmade Fajalauza? No two grenades are the same! Slight variations in colour, design and size make each piece truly unique, and simply adds to the rustic charm.
